Andrew Cowart

Hey there! Allow me to introduce myself and share a bit about who I am and how I work. My name is Andrew Cowart. I am a counseling intern currently pursuing my graduate studies at Divine Mercy University. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where my passion for understanding the human experience and supporting emotional healing began to take shape. I am a Certified Traumatologist through the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology and have experience providing trauma education as well as group and individual therapy. 

I am open to working with individuals from all walks of life and have a particular passion for supporting young adults as they navigate identity development, life transitions, relationships, and personal growth. I approach therapy from an eclectic and integrative lens, primarily drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), emotion-focused, experiential, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work. This approach is always flexible and tailored to meet your unique needs, as I believe therapy should honor the individuality of each person and their story.

I view the counseling relationship as deeply collaborative — a space where we work together to explore challenges, build insight, and foster meaningful change. My goal is to help you flourish in all areas of your life by creating a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment, and I look forward to getting to know you as the expert of your own life while walking alongside you toward greater healing, connection, and wholeness.
